Late last year I had the pleasure of shooting for the newly launched Nestig brand. Sara + Gui, the founders have designed and produced beautiful modern convertible cribs that go from mini crib to full crib to toddler bed. There is nothing better then spending time on a weekend morning with a family and their "new" newborn. The excitement from the older children to show off their new baby sister is just the sweetest. This family was no exception. A typical newborn lifestyle photo session has me following the older children around to see what they want to play with. I will quietly document them while talking and learning what their favorite book and animal is. Once they are settled in their activity, I'll pop out to find mom and baby snuggling on the bed sharing a moment. Of course those are always the sweetest images to capture. I will then go back to the older children and do it all over again ;-) Its sessions like this that make me realize how important my job is. The next ten years will fly by but when you look back at those images, you will be instantly transported back to that wonderful Sunday morning when the coffee was brewing in the kitchen, the sun was shining throughout the house and all you could hear were giggles and laughter from playing in the ball-pit.
Big sister was so engaged and protective with her new little sister. So cute!

The other day I realized that I haven't shared or blogged many of my 2015 fall family sessions, so here is a small sprinkling of some of my old and new clients that I shot. Thank you to all the families for trusting me to capture all of the cuties in your lives!
I always love shooting mini sessions at Murray & Finn because the backdrop is simple and the main focus is just the children. These kiddos brought their favorite lovies, dollies and in one case his favorite soccer ball to the shoot and we had a great time. Sometimes just 15 minutes is all you need to get a few sweet images of your children at this time of their lives. I actually just read a quote today from Reese Witherspoon that she recently said in an interview. She said, "Take one nice picture of the kids every year. It's important that they feel loved, cherished, and remembered for each year of their lives. Plus, it's a great tradition for them to have with their own families one day too." I couldn't agree more Reese!

I absolutely *loved* how my client came in wearing the same outfit as she did for her maternity photos. What a fun idea to document the "before" and "after" photos. I was so happy to meet this little guy as he is one special little boy. Huge congratulations to the three of you!
