I love how this tree plays such an integral part of our annual photo shoots. The first time I met these cuties they ran to show me their magical (very tall) tree and we snapped photos of them in between the trunks. Each year I return we do the same. I should really put together a "tree series" to document their growth each year.
There was lots of giggling, laughing and singing to SpongeBob SquarePants during this shoot. The boys were full of energy and love. So nice to meet you guys!
The time we got away for a little Vitamin D re-charge. We chased iguanas, marveled at the Ancient Mayan Ruins of Chinchen Itza (say that 10 times), swam in a Cenote (aka sinkhole) where we learned Mayan human sacrifices used to be performed hundreds of years ago (egads!). We ate far too many chips & salsa, drank cervezas and lots of pina coladas. My 7 year-old won for the second year in a row a bottle of tequila at Bingo, had dinner with a crocodile just inches away, developed some new freckles and over all had an amazing relaxing time.
These cuties are one of the many dozens of families I have photographed in the past few weeks. My blogging has been a little sporadic due to an amazing project I've been busy working on since summer. My goal is to start showing more of all the beautiful families I've had the pleasure of photographing over the past few months. Thankfully the weather has been on our side this year!

The best is having great neighbors with adorable boys who are so cute and so much fun to photograph. Also, its a double bonus when their parents are amazing people too ;-)
And not to forget "D's" cute birth announcement photo I took in the late summer. There were no smiles but I was okay with that because his amazing color of hair made up for it.
