our family through tara whitney's eyes | personal
Since we are homebound for yet another snow day (grrr) I thought I would use my time wisely and update this blog with the family photos that we recently had taken by the fabulous Tara Whitney. Tara is a photographer whom I have long admired for how she captures families as they are 'right now'. I reached out to her once we knew we were going to be on the west coast over the holidays and luckily she was able to make a trip to Palm Springs while we were there. As you can see it was a lovely day and I'm so happy I made that call because its nice to be in photos with my family and not just on the other side of the lens.

So happy for this family who welcomed a sweet little girl last year. She completes their family to a T!

Palm Springs is a magical little place. The desert temperature in December is perfect, the salt water pool is refreshing, strawberry smoothies are delicious as are the lemons, grapefruits and satsumas you can pick right off the trees. As we are hearing about another storm coming later this week, these photos transport me right back to my lounge chair by the pool.

Infantango is a class I wish was around when I had my babies. It is a brand new fun dance class for mommies and their babies who get to learn movements inspired by ballroom dances such as the Tango, Rhomba, Salsa and Samba. Their tag line reads "where bonding meets ballroom". Think of it as "Dancing with the Stars" with your own little "star". Maria and Antonio came up with the concept which I think is brilliant. I photographed a couple classes as well as I put together a video to give all those new moms out there a sneak peek at how much fun it is. Trust me, if you have a little one and enjoy dancing then this is the class for you.

If ever there was a time to go through your holiday photos from a couple of months back, it has been this week. With two separate snow days and 2 kids and 1 adult going stir crazy it was a nice chance to look back and reminisce about warmer climates and tropical breezes (well at least more tropical then the bitter cold that the east coast is facing). This first installment is of our time in L.A. right after Christmas. Oh west coast - how I miss you. Next up is Palm Springs..
