It became kind of comical how many times we had to cancel and reschedule this shoot. All weather related but boy am I happy we picked a good day to finally do it. Not sure if Pipsqueak the Guinea Pig was too happy for her photo debut though, as she just wanted to hide and be left alone. Here are a few of my favorites from the session ..

alt summit new york
Alt Summit NY was last week and what a day it was! It is a bloggers conference filled with a few hundred creative thinkers and artistic entrepreneurs who are able to meet up and share ideas and their stories. The day is filled with speakers, delicious food and lots + lots of fun swag and give-aways. I was especially excited to hear the amazing line-up of guest speakers ... Grace Bonney from Design Sponge, Tracey Stewart from Moomah, Pilar Guzman from MS Living and my favorite style icon Garance Dore. Of course there were many more speakers who inspired the crowd and made the event fabulous. The event took place at the Martha Stewart Headquarters which is always a lovely backdrop. Of course Martha also made a special appearance. Kudos to Gabrielle Blair from Design Mom and her sister Sara for putting on a spectacular event.

summer is here!
Hope yours is filled with sunshine, fun and lots of bubbles!

yeah ... a baby sister | chatham, nj family photographer
I'm so happy this family welcomed a baby girl to their clan. I know her big brothers will take great care of her growing up! Welcome to the world Baby "A".

Don't be surprised if when I'm shooting at your home I'll ask the parents if its okay for the children to jump on their beds. You know the kids are always game for it and they can't wait to show me their rooms!

weekend | personal
You know that saying that the best camera to have is the one that's with you. Well I proved that point this weekend while down in DC with the family. I didn't have it in me to carry my big camera around all weekend so I kept it in the hotel and instead just went throughout the day with my trusty iphone while Instagramming a few favorites. I'm so glad I did because I got some great "real" shots that I probably wouldn't have captured with my other camera.
