2012 in Review
Here is a small sampling of some of the wonderful families I got to see again this year and some that I got to meet for the very first time. I absolutely love looking back at the year and remembering all of the fun shoots I had with each of you. 2012 was a fantastic year for my business and I can't wait to see what 2013 brings. I have a lot of ideas brewing up my sleeve and am excited to share them with you. I will be posting a lot over on my business Facebook page so if you are not a fan yet, make sure to click on over and "like" it. I can't thank my clients enough for trusting me to capture images of their families and children ... it truly is an honor! Here's to a wonderful new year!
Christmas in the City | personal
A few days ago we realized the kids had yet to see "the tree" this holiday season so we hopped on the train and did a quick one nighter in the city. Did the touristy stuff and then that night D found the most amazing Italian restaurant down by the Bowery. We were truly blown away by the quality of the food (most of it is flown in directly from Italy) and how reasonably priced it was. If anyone needs the name of it let me know. I am still dreaming of the tiramisu! We then ventured over to Astor Place to get J a hair cut with Giovanni and onto 5th Avenue to look at all of the Holiday windows. Of course in the morning after inspecting what the Tooth Fairy had left for J's second lost tooth, we had to have breaky and a quick dip in the hotel pool. We then rushed back home to get ready for a Christmas party and to prepare for Santa's arrival. Hope everyone had a nice relaxing holiday!
And as I was sitting watching the kids swim on the 44th floor of the hotel, I played around with the Panoramic feature on my iPhone. So cool! Am I the last one to notice this feature?!?

Another family that I love seeing around this time of year. After such a sad and heart-breaking weekend, its nice to think back to the belly laughs the three of us had during this shoot. My heart aches for the loss of the 20 little children in Newtown, CT. There was a lot of hugging going on in our family this weekend as I am sure in yours too!

The morning of this particular shoot little "E" wasn't so keen on me showing up with my big black camera, but I managed to sneak and get quite a few adorable shots of his bright blue eyes. This is one of my families that I have the pleasure of seeing every year and I truly cherish our short but sweet time together! I've loved watching him grow here + here.

It really is such an honor to get asked back each year to photograph families, especially ones that have supported me since I started up 4 years ago. This is one of those families that always puts a smile on my face when I see them. The boys are getting bigger and older and its so nice to see their growth each year. I especially loved seeing my photos from years past, framed and up on their walls. Always the best thing for a photographer to see!
