Just realized I never blogged this session from way back in October. These four brothers were all about fun and football. Looking back at all of their images makes me miss those pleasant fall days. I am already dreaming about spring-time when we don't have bundle up to brave the outdoors.

As I looked around our house today I realized I wanted to capture some memories of how we are getting ready for Christmas. Yesterday, the kids and I got our "craft on" and made the pom-pom wreath. Ideally I wanted to create a felt one but the craft store didn't sell any so we had to settle for old-school pom-poms. The advent calendar is a big hit each morning as is "elf on the shelf" and the Playmobil nativity scene . The tree is decorated and we are all ready!

We were in search of fall foliage but unfortunately just a few days prior a big wind storm came through and blew them all off the gorgeous fall trees. Wasn't a problem for the girls though, because they were still able to have a leaf fight with the ones on the ground. Thanks for a great afternoon Julie, Emma and Lila!

There are so many session I still need to blog. We just wrapped up Turkey Day and now I am back to work. Can't believe tomorrow is December 1st! Yikes. Since a post can't be complete without a photo, here is a lovely family I got to shoot over the Thanksgiving weekend while all the children were back at home with mom and dad for the holiday. It was a fun shoot with lots of laughs. So nice to meet you Skinner Family!

These three had me cracking up the minute I met them. Their "mum" was kind enough to bid on me at a Silent Auction and won. It was just a fun casual afternoon where the kids ran around the yard, kicking soccer balls, playing air guitar, striking poses and just generally being themselves. The song "Forget You" by Cee Lo Green will always remind me of these three -- the original that is, not the Gwyneth/Glee version. Thanks guys ... you were great fun.

I can't say enough about how I love referrals. It is so wonderful to book a session knowing someone has been so kind to refer them to me. It was this case with this fabulous family. Originally from Switzerland this family had relatives visiting from Spain, so despite the language barrier we were still able to get amazing shots! A couple of weeks ago we took the kids bowling at our local bowling alley. It was J's first time so it made it extra special and funny to watch him try to pick up a big heavy ball and maneuver it down the lane. The other funny thing is how I managed to beat "the king" even when the kiddy bumpers were up. Umm, just saying...
